A Message From Me – Hendrik
Hello friends,
What a beautiful start to our season it has been. After wonderful rains across Namibia, the veld is green, the pans are full, and the bush is alive again. We have already welcomed several overseas guests to Namibia, and once again it reminds us what a privilege it is to share this country, its wildlife and its people with others.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support Hendrik & Trudi Safaris. We are already receiving bookings for next year and are busy putting together exciting new hunting and touring packages for 2027.
Rare Desert Lilies Bloom Across Namibia After Heavy Rains
This year we witnessed one of Namibia’s rare natural wonders.
After the heavy rains, thousands of desert lilies appeared across the pans — stretching for kilometres across shallow water and sand. Areas nearly 7 km long and covering an estimated 2,000–3,000 hectares suddenly came alive with soft pink and white flowers.
Standing there among the lilies, in the middle of the desert, is something difficult to describe. It is quiet, peaceful and unbelievably beautiful. Moments like these remind us just how special Namibia truly is.
Namibia Hunting Safaris & Wildlife Experiences in 2026
The season has started beautifully, and the bush has already given us many unforgettable moments.
From early mornings tracking through the Kalahari sand to evenings around the fire under African skies, our guests have experienced the true heart of Namibia. We have had successful trophy hunts, selective hunts and meat hunts across several concessions, with excellent blue wildebeest, gemsbok, zebra, springbok and plains game taken this season.
What makes it special for us is seeing how overseas guests connect with Africa — the silence of the veld, the smell of rain on the sand, the sound of jackal at night, and the warmth of Namibian hospitality.
Every safari becomes more than just a hunt. It becomes part of a story that stays with people long after they return home.
Our PHs, Trackers & Camp Team
One thing I am always proud of is our team.
From our professional hunters and trackers to the kitchen staff, camp workers, skinners and drivers — every person plays an important role in making each safari special.
Our trackers continue to amaze guests with their knowledge of the veld and their ability to read spoor across difficult terrain. Around camp, our hospitality team works hard to make visitors feel welcome, comfortable and at home.
That teamwork and Namibian spirit is what keeps many of our guests returning year after year.
Namibia This Season
March and April brought excellent rains across many parts of Namibia, especially through the central and southern regions. The veld has recovered beautifully, grazing conditions are excellent, and wildlife sightings have been exceptional.
Cool mornings, dramatic skies and fresh green landscapes have made this one of the most beautiful starts to a season we have seen in a long time.
Namibia Tours, Travel Packages & Croatia Adventures
Our touring division continues to grow well, and we are very excited about our upcoming Croatia tour as well as our popular “12 Days In Heaven” experiences.
Bookings are still coming in, and if you are looking for a memorable adventure and something truly special, please have a look at our tour packages at:
Happenings At Die Dam
At Die Dam, our brand-new amphitheatre is almost complete, and we are very excited about what lies ahead there. It is becoming a truly special place where people can gather, relax and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Namibia.
We look forward to sharing many sunsets, events and memorable evenings there in the near future.
Looking Ahead
Planning for next year is already well underway. New safari packages, touring opportunities and hunting areas are being discussed, and we are excited for what lies ahead.
If Namibia has been on your bucket list, now is the perfect time to start planning your African adventure with us.
Until Next Time
Thank you again to all our clients, friends and supporters.
Whether you come for the hunting, the touring, the sunsets, the wildlife or simply the peace of the Namibian bush — we appreciate every visit, every friendship and every memory made together.
We hope to welcome many of you back to Namibia again soon.
Warm regards,
Hendrik
