Hunting Highlights from Hendrik’s Desk

The 2025 season started strong, with returning friends and new faces joining us from Germany, Spain, and South Africa. It’s been a pleasure watching memories unfold and trophies taken with pride and precision.

We started the year under pressure from a severe drought, which led to necessary Impala and plains game culling to maintain ecological balance. But even in that challenge, there was purpose – providing vital meat supplies to surrounding communities. And then – the rains came…

Weather and Lilies

February and March brought generous rain that transformed the bush almost overnight. The once-dusty plains turned green, and in one of the most breathtaking displays we’ve seen, fields of white rain lilies stretched for miles – a true Namibian miracle.

What’s New at Camp?

We’re thrilled to welcome Janrich, our new Professional Hunter in Training. His energy, knowledge, and love for Namibia are already making a big impact on both team and guests.

Smile of the Week

This one goes to our spirited German guest who, while stalking springbok on foot, tripped gloriously over a large anthill and sprawled out like a picnic cloth! Thankfully, all was well — except maybe the anthill’s pride. It gave the trackers a good laugh and became one of those light-hearted moments that we’ll be talking about for seasons to come. Thanks for the laughs and good humour!

Travel Tips – Visa ALert
