Hello dear Friends!

What a week it has been! We had the pleasure of hosting hunters from Germany, who joined us for both a culling package and a trophy hunt. The thrill of securing some magnificent trophies was truly exhilarating. Trudi and I also took a brief detour to Italy to catch up with some cherished friends. It was a delightful trip filled with laughter, good food, and a chance to relax before the busy season ahead. Now, we’re back and eagerly putting the finishing touches on the preparations for our upcoming tours. Oh, and we were blessed with our first rain of the season – a true gift from nature!

Weather Update

The past few days have brought us a lovely mix of warm days and cool nights. We were a bit sceptical about the rain, thinking the drastic temperature changes might prevent it. But to our surprise, the skies opened, and we received a decent amount of rainfall. Watching the water stream along the roads and small puddles dotting the grass, we can already see the dull fields starting to burst into vibrant green. It’s a sight that never fails to bring a smile.

PH Diaries

Hendrik: Last week, I had the privilege of guiding a German hunter who was keen on adding some remarkable trophies to his collection. We embarked on a challenging hunt, focusing on finding the perfect Eland. As the days went by, our chances seemed slim. But just a day before his departure, luck was on our side! The moment he successfully took down the Eland, the look of joy and accomplishment on his face was unforgettable. Seeing him head back home with that sense of fulfilment made my week.

New Developments

We’re thrilled to announce that our tour packages for the coming year are ready, and the launch of our new website is just around the corner. We’ve curated a diverse selection of experiences that showcase Namibia’s most breathtaking landscapes. Picture yourself gliding over the dunes of Sossusvlei in a hot air balloon, cruising with dolphins in Swakopmund, or soaring over the majestic Victoria Falls. Each tour is designed with a personal touch, so you’ll feel more like a treasured guest than a tourist. We can’t wait to share these adventures with you!

Weekly Smiles

Last week, we had a memorable trip to a farm near Gobabis, where we were on the lookout for a Gnu. Our first stop was the farmer’s house, and as we stepped out of the car, an unexpected guest greeted us — a friendly, tame ostrich! It was quite a surprise to see this curious bird making its way up to say hello. The farmer shared that it’s the only one on the farm and loves visiting the house. Moments like these remind us of the charming quirks of life on the farm.

Light for the Children

We’d like to take a moment to encourage you to support our Light for the Children initiative. Even the smallest contribution can make a world of difference for these children, providing them with essentials like school supplies, nutritious meals, and medical care. Your generosity, combined with that of others, can create a brighter future for these young ones. We’re incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received so far this year. Let’s continue to make a positive impact together!

Birthdays

A very happy birthday to our wonderful clients celebrating this week! May your special day be filled with joy, and may the year ahead bring you all the happiness and success you deserve.

  • 23 September – Rianer Dorn

Wishing you all a fantastic celebration!

Closing Thoughts

We can’t thank you enough for your continued support. This coming week, we’re excited to welcome more hunters from France and Germany. The anticipation for our ’12 Days in Heaven’ tour is building, and we can hardly wait to embark on more thrilling hunts and create new memories together. From sunrise pursuits to the thrill of encountering elusive wildlife, every moment we share in the bush is a celebration of our passion for hunting and the bonds we form along the way. Your support is our greatest treasure, and we look forward to many more adventures together.

Sending warm hunting regards from all of us at Hendrik and Trudi Safaris.

Until next time,

Hendrik
