Good day, dear Friends!
Last week, we returned from our wonderful stay at Mahangu, where we had the chance to experience the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of the North. We also welcomed a group of hunters from Germany and travelled south to fulfil their hunting packages. At the same time, our building efforts were in full swing as we worked to complete my father-in-law’s house as quickly as possible, excited for the day we could enjoy having our family close by.
Weather
Spring is here, and the flowers have started to bloom beautifully. The August winds have carried over into this month, as we’ve been experiencing strong gusts throughout the day. The temperatures have been lovely, with lows of 12 degrees and highs reaching 33 degrees. However, a heatwave is on the horizon for next week, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 38 degrees. Despite the heat, we’re excited for the arrival of summer and eagerly look forward to the refreshing rain ahead.
PH Diaries
Hendrik: Last week, I had the privilege of hunting with Adam, a seven-year-old Bushman. We went south, where he hunted for a springbok. This hunt was vastly different from what I was used to, as he was quite young and inexperienced. Witnessing Adam hunt his first animal and spending time with him was an amazing experience.
Developments
As I mentioned before, we’ve been quite busy finishing my father-in-law’s house, and I’m happy to report that we’ve made considerable progress. Most of the plumbing is now complete, and we are currently laying the tiles. The next step is installing the cupboards, so we’ve arranged for a carpenter to come by next week to take measurements. In the meantime, we’re actively planning our new tours for the upcoming year, inspired by the beauty of Mahangu and the joy we’ve experienced from our country’s natural splendour. We’ve decided to expand our tours across Namibia. Additionally, we’re excited to share that our car rental service is shaping up well, with several bookings already coming in.
Light for the Children
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jac-Louis and Adam on our hunt in the South. For Adam, hunting has always been a dream, and he was eager to learn more about the nature of it. It was truly special to have them with us. We would also like to encourage you, dear friends, to join us in making a difference in these children’s lives. A heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors who have supported us so far this year—we couldn’t do it without you.

From the Hendrik and Trudi Safari team we would like to wish the following clients a happy birthday: May you have a wonderful day filled with joy and celebration. May all your wishes come true, and may this year bring you endless happiness and success. Enjoy your special day!

We cherish the stories of successful hunts and the bond that has grown stronger with every adventure. Your continued support means the world to us, and we are excited to create even more cherished memories together.
Warm hunting cheers from the Hendrik and Trudi Safari team.
